1983
Enrico, Paolo Berta’s son, starts working in the company. It is the first time that we have a salesman!
1985
The year opens with a wave of frost, followed by the snowfall of the century, which reaches Cagliari. Further on, the summer climate will give a sweet and generous year.
1986
Look carefully at this photo: at the bottom you can see some barriques. We still did not know that, years later, they would be the starting point for the future.
1987
We begin to expand beyond the Italian borders and to attend trade fairs
1988
Years of dreams and hopes. In contrast to the explosion of large-scale distribution in the 1980s, we decide to propose ourselves to clubs and restaurants, while maintaining our values: quality at all costs.
1989
An almost perfect climate consecrates this vintage as one of the best Barolo vintages in history. But the most beautiful event of the year does not concern the world of wine: Annacarla, the daughter of Gianfranco Berta and Simonetta, is born. The third generation begins.
1990
The Taverna del Vecchio Alambicco is born, our first step into the world of hospitality: a space in the Distillery where you can welcome friends and eat a genuine homemade dish.
1991
Year of innovations. Gianfranco invents a revolutionary system for storing marc and Enrico studies the iconic design of the Primaneve line, with colored balls on the cap.
1993
The company continues to grow: family gatherings on Saturday morning to report the week become the beating heart of stories, ideas, revolutions.
1994
The Distilleries must expand. A parable of constant enlargement begins, which starts from the Nizza Monferrato headquarters; and it is Paolo who, with patience and attention to detail, oversees the work and observes every brick placed on it, every connected pipe, every gram of smeared concrete.

Seventy-five harvests. Three hundred seasons always lived in communion with Nature. Nine hundred months between stills and barriques. Twenty-seven thousand three hundred and seventy-five days of constant care.
