It is 1860 in Ancona: the construction of the great Pescara-Ancona railway line, which would finally connect not only the two cities but all the neighboring villages, is proceeding somewhat slowly. The work is hard, the project complex, the technology behind it completely new: of course it’s all a bit complicated. But fortunately near the Ancona station stands a little place, the Caffè Bar Sport, whose owner has invented an intense, invigorating and fragrant coffee liqueur: perfect for giving refreshment and energy to railroad workers. Three years later the railroad was inaugurated and the owner of Caffè Bar Sport began selling his travelers’ coffee directly at the platform: from train to train and from trip to trip, soon all of Italy began drinking coffee liquor.
