L’Angelo
The Barbera Revolution
1982: While Giacomo Bologna was harvesting the first vintage of Bricco dell’Uccellone, a gentleman from Milan moved to Nizza Monferrato, in his early Lombard life the owner of a horse racing betting hall, in love with Piedmont and its wines. Angelo Sonvico, that was his name, immediately began working together with winemaker Giuliano Noè in the groove already traced by Bologna and Veronelli with one goal: to make barbera a great wine. Angelo, before being one of the men of the Barbera revolution, was a great friend of ours.
