Villa Prato Grappa Invecchiata
A History of Villas
Let’s turn the spotlight on Piedmont’s history: the Prato family’s origins date back to the 1200s, but their Villa, which gives its name to this grappa, sinks its foundations in the 1600s and soars with its small tower in the 1800s. After 1800, the family split into two branches: some went to Turin, where they became the notaries and accountants of the Savoy court; the others stayed in their beloved Mombaruzzo.
